Chris,

I forgot to say that at the end of this "Primed" interview it is really cool when one hears that little tear/choke in your voice when you say, "you can be another light on the earth to guide young homies to where they need to go-- a better place."

I agree with what everyone else said about you above. I too can't wait to read your book.

Love Life! Marci

Chris, In case you didn't know it, the day you did this Musical Life Journey on "Primed" is the day that Japanese Zen Buddhists celebrate as Buddha's Enlightenment Day. It was also the day before my Unitarian mininister gave a sermon, "Unorthodox Bodhisattva" based on your life and what you have said in the lyrics to your music and in interviews. My friend Daniel and I met you at Six Flags in Maryland in August. I gave you the six tee shirts "Chris Rene is an Epiphany". That tee shirt was based on just the one song, "Young Homie". By the time I heard "Trouble" on this website, I knew the depth of your Epiphany. It was even more apparent by the time I heard all the lyrics on "I'm Right Here." I emailed my minister the lyrics and links to various interviews you had given. I had bid (at a silent auction fundraiser) on a sermon of my choice. I had already decided that the Bodhisattva should be the basis of the sermon, but it took almost another year before it became obvious that you should be the example of this. I gave a short bio and read the lyrics to "Chains" (I can't sing and do you justice) before the sermon. The minister did the rest and I think he did you proud. Here is the link, the podcast was posted on December 13. It will soon be in the December 2012 archive. Listen to it. You deserved to have a sermon given about you! Day after day you exemplify a Bodhisattva. Love and Peace, Marci
